AIOLIA at WIDERA policy workshop

AIOLIA is happy to participate in the WIDERA feedback-to-policy workshop on October 2 in Brussels. The European Research Area is a key component of the global landscape of research in Europe. AI ethics takes a prominent place in this landscape – and AIOLIA will be making recommendations for strengthening and improving it further. Five key policy take-outs:

  1. Connect with the AI Office regarding research exception and recital 27 of the AI Act.
  2. Revamp and propose an updated EU ethics self-assessment form (section 8 on AI).
  3. Liaise with national ethics committees, NEC Forum, EGE to establish digital ethics standards and procedures.
  4. Connect with diplomats to gain a prominent place at the next AI Action Summit in India.
  5. Offer trainings to computer scientists working in industry.
