Last week in Vilnius, AIOLIA delivered an AI ethics training tailored for research ethics committees, in collaboration with the SIMPLIFY project.
Bringing together participants from the Baltic and Nordic countries and beyond, the training provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and strengthen skills related to the ethics review of AI research.
Through practical group exercises, participants explored how principles such as fairness, transparency, and accountability can be translated into concrete technical and organisational measures when reviewing AI-related research.
The event was hosted at Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine, together with EUREC and the SIMPLIFY project, and it was a pleasure to see so many committee members engage so actively in the discussions.
