AIOLIA is happy to participate in the WIDERA feedback-to-policy workshop on October 2 in Brussels. The European Research Area is a key component of the global landscape of research in Europe. AI ethics takes a prominent place in this landscape \u2013 and AIOLIA will be making recommendations for strengthening and improving it further. Five key policy take-outs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Connect with the AI Office regarding research exception and recital 27 of the AI Act.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Revamp and propose an updated EU ethics self-assessment form (section 8 on AI).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Liaise with national ethics committees, NEC Forum, EGE to establish digital ethics standards and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Connect with diplomats to gain a prominent place at the next AI Action Summit in India.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
