On March 5th and 6th, AIOLIA team gathered in Berlin to discuss the progress achieved so far and to plan next steps in the projects.

On day 1, we heard introductions of our Scientific Advisory Board and greetings from the European Commission. The first session opened with an overview of AIOLIA\u2019s work in 2025 and the roadmap for 2026, highlighting the progress made across the consortium. We then discussed the findings<\/a> and lessons learned<\/a> from AIOLIA use cases<\/a>, before moving to the detailed presentations of these use cases by our European and international partners. We concluded the first day of meeting by brainstorming forthcoming AIOLIA policy guidelines and watching the first demo of the AIOLIA Ethics Readiness Levels evaluation tool. This tool is based on the AIOLIA criteria<\/a> to measure successful implementation of AI ethics-by-design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 2 focused on the practical side of developing AIOLIA pedagogical materials and preparing future training. We started the morning with an ethics-by-design exercise on human behaviour and cognition, exploring how ethical considerations can be integrated directly into the design and deployment of AI systems. The programme then moved to discussing our portfolio of pedagogical materials based on the learning needs identified by partners. We have also planned pilot trainings in 2026, including sessions tailored to the needs of experts involved in the EU Ethics Appraisal Scheme, as well as training for industrial engineers, researchers, and ethics experts.

We also looked ahead to the project\u2019s communication and dissemination activities, ensuring that the insights and tools developed within AIOLIA reach researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
