Emergent cognitive and behavioural risks are left out of the European AI Act, while China has just enacted a new pioneering regulation on anthropomorphic AI. Today, AIOLIA published a <a href=\"https:\/\/aiolia.eu\/index.php\/policy-brief-ethical-challenges-of-ai-companions\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"762\">policy brief on AI companions<\/a> that summarizes our previous empirical findings.
